✅What to do if the City&Guild (VWN) or NCFE (CECOS) online test will not start?
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide (updated May 2026)
- First, uninstall the old Secure Client from your Windows computer. This is the safest first step and helps avoid software conflicts.
- Next, download and install the latest version of Secure Client from the official website:
- If you are using an older laptop, you must also install the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries.
- Finally, open the Secure Client. The online test should now start and run correctly. If problems occur, we highly recommend this up‑to‑date City & Guilds installation guide.
