Job Offer: Functional Skills Tutors
We are seeking experienced functional skills tutors for online home delivery on evening and weekends, to deliver both accredited English and Maths to our learners.
We teach from Entry level 1 through to Level 2, but groups are specific to levels, no mixed groups with different abilities.
Options for classes are as follows:
- Monday and Wednesday 6-9pm
- Tuesday and Thursday 6-9pm
- Saturday and Sunday 10am-1pm
We use Zoom or Teams, and all resources are provided.
In this role you will be required to; Help raise expectations and aspirations of our learners, to enthuse, motivate and create ownership of own learning. The learners wish to improve their lives and job prospects living in the UK.
You will enable progression through accredited and structured programmes designed to meet the needs and interests of our learners. Work with learners to develop personalised learning plans, to equip them with the skills, knowledge and behaviours facilitating positive progress towards their longer-term aspirations. Continually develop your practice and skills, to engage in new initiatives and, to share best practice with colleagues. Experience in delivering functional skills is essential.

Education:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
- Teaching qualification
- Maths & English Level 2 or equivalent
Experience:
- Teaching: 2 years (preferred)
- Tutoring: 2 years (preferred)
